GODDESS CHANDRAGHANTA She is the third form of goddess Durga. Her name means 'one who has a crescent moon shaped like a bell ' . She has ten hands and each holds weapons. She has a crescent moon on her forehead and that is why she is called as Chandraghanta. Her vaganam (ride) is tiger. She is always ready to fight and destroy evils. Her devotees believe that she drives away all their pains and brings peace in their life. They worship her by keeping kheer.
