The trek to the peak starts at Khadapathar, which is at a distance of 70km from Shimla. As you trek upwards you will come to the origin of Giri- Ganga river. Next to which is the Giri- Ganga temple, from where it takes around 1.5 hours to reach the top of Kuppar Bugyal trek. Once you reach the top is a breathtaking view of the Pabbar Valley and the Himalayan ranges. As it is a lesser-known trek, there is barely any crowd insight and it is an exquisite experience. From the top as far as you can see, you will only spot snow-clad Himalayan mountain peaks. It is great and a fun trek for beginners. The best time to visit is from October to February.
