Smita Sharma started as an actor with the Delhi-based theatre group, Jana Natya Manch (JANAM) in 1998 and traveled across the country to perform plays with the group. In JANAM, she also got the opportunity to work with veteran playwright, actor, and director Mr Habib Tanvir.
Subsequently, Smita did a workshop with Delhi Experimental Theatre, NSD, and Kshitij Theatre Group. She also performed in 'Bharat Rang Mahotsav', a reputed national theatre festival.
In addition to this, Smita has worked in various television shows like Johny Aala Re, Sarkar: Rishton Ki Ankahi Kahani, and Karamchand-II. She has extensive experience in casting and was the chief assistant casting director in films like Agneepath-II, Vicky Donor, and several ad-films.
As an instructor, Smita regularly conducts workshops and seminars on acting and casting.
