Karan Khanna is Chef at The Clearing House, Mumbai.
Having realized his true passion for cooking while studying computer science in Illinois, USA, he decided to follow his dream of pursuing the culinary arts at the Institute of Hotel Management, Aurangabad. He worked his way up the ranks with the Taj Group in different places like Mumbai, Bangalore, and the Andamans, and got an opportunity to stage at Noma (Copenhagen) before joining The Clearing House.
With an emphasis on quality sustainable ingredients, both seasonal and local, while focusing on zero waste, Karan’s signature cooking style involves creating extremely satisfying healthy dishes focusing on fresh ingredients. Spending time on his family farmland, he has first-hand experience of growing seasonal produce, which has, in turn, heightened his awareness of organic ingredients and locally sourced products.
