Enaakshi Kotwal is a woman of many talents.
She started her career in the media industry as a celebrity manager and producer with Sony, 9XM, and Radio City. Soon, due to her dedication and talent, she became one of India's leading Belly Dancers. She is especially known for her Turkish and Egyptian style of Belly Dancing.
Ennakshi is trained in Kathak under the tutelage of Guru Narayan Prasad and Ms Jyantimalaji, daughter of Padma Shri recipient Ms Sitara Deviji. She holds a Bachelor's in Fine Arts with a Visharad in Kathak from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh. Currently, she is learning Bharatanatyam under Ms Varsha Barad and Ms Sonal Choksi.
Due to her love for dancing, she founded the White Peacock Dance Studio, Mumbai, in 2014. This dance school prides itself on teaching various dance forms such as Belly Dance, Bollywood, and various Indian Folk Dances.
Enaakshi has taught and influenced thousands of lives in India and abroad. An avid stage performer, she has performed at some of the most prestigious art festivals around the world. Due to her experience, she has been asked to judge several competitions such as Mood Indigo (IIT Mumbai), PAF, and other national-level competitions.
She has been recognized and celebrated on various occasions for her contribution to the arts by the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, the Indian International Model United Nations, and the SIPA Danceathon. She has a rich portfolio in television commercials and theatrical plays.
With over seven years of experience, she continues to push the boundaries of dance, especially Belly Dance, in India.
