Akhil Kavungal is a yoga trainer with over nine years of experience.
Having completed his post-graduation in Yoga from Zamorins Guruvayurappan College under Calicut University in 2011, he worked with Arya Vaidya Sala Kottakkal as a Yoga Therapist.
After this, he went back to Guruvayurappan College but as an Assistant Professor for the MSc Health and Yoga Therapy course. There, he was in charge of both theory and practical classes.
Akhil has accompanied the Calicut University Yoga team as their coach - twice - for the national yoga competition. His team was shortlisted among the Top 10.
Along with this, Akhil is also a scriptwriter and director of, primarily, Malayalam movies. He is best known for his movies I Saw Rathi _and _Payal Kunjunni.
