Program Description

One's state of mind does not define a person. The mind can be a beast -- it can be moody, unpredictable, brooding. The mind can be flighty, taking interest in nothing. It can also be perpetually on the edge, attacking you without any advance notice. But remember, the mind is not beyond your control -- and you can seek help from a therapist if it goes out of hand.

Behavioural Therapy consists of one-on-one hourly sessions spread over a couple of months, where the therapist works with people experiencing psychological distress such as depression, anxiety, stress from interpersonal issues (relationship anxiety), ADHD, insomnia, or burnout. The therapist designs emotional and behavioural goals with you, the client, seeing them once every week, and accelerating behavioural changes towards their desired goals.

Ananya Saikia brings years of learning and experience into the field. She will help you in becoming more aware of how you think and why you think the way you do. She has expertise in working with anxiety disorders, depression, sleep problems, and stress management. Additionally, she is experienced with serving the LGBTQ community and is a queer-affirmative therapist.

Ananya Saikia is a counselling psychologist and psychotherapist from Bangalore -- her niche being anxiety disorders and interpersonal issues. Her keen observation of the emotional lives of people and, specifically, mental health care, made her fall in love with psychology years ago.
